A lifetime of practice has taught me
what I am lacking but not how to name it.

I once ground seashells into dust with a German girl
and we drew calcium pictures on the shoreline rocks.

A perfect memory

It is said that in some cultures all water has a memory, always seeking the way home. I no longer tend a garden with my knees caught in the soil, hands in Terracotta pots, with my breezy straw hat on in a bright tenacious sun.
