deviantArt magazine?
first off: i was tired of my gallery looking cluttered with comics, so i did a massive cleanup recently and removed all of them except the newest from the featured area. if you're looking for an old comic, don't worry, they're still there- you'll just have to go to the Mill City Fiasco gallery folder. (but that should make browsing comics easier anyway, so it's not all bad, right?)now, onto the important stuff: i've been toying with the idea of starting a deviantArt magazine. i know, i know, i already had to change the comic schedule because i don't have enough time, but this is something i wouldn't look at starting at least until the end of this semester.

i'm still just sifting through ideas, and want to get some input from other people.
i've done some research and discovered some people with similar ideas. °
dygel used to produce deviantMAG, but this was back in 2002 and as far as i know the project's been laid to rest. someone else proposed a print magazine, but the difficulties of this are endless, not to mention she's banned now. someone -else- proposed a magazine with a focus on promoting unknown deviants, but there are enough venues for this already - Thumbshare forum, journal features, news features - that i think it would be redundant.
personally, i imagine it to be more of an indie 'zine' than a glossy print mag. there would be room for showcasing art, of course, but with a mix of other content - editorials, interviews, site news, tutorials, and various articles written by community members, even if they're not art-related! i would hope that it could be more of a meeting ground for artistic minds than just restricted to content about art.
of course, all this is hypothetical, and that's why i'm gathering input before trying to start anything concrete. does anyone know if there are any similar projects already in existence? if not, what do you think a dA zine should focus on? what medium would work best?
(news articles seem too limiting. i've contemplated both a separate account with each component as a separate deviation, organized by folders for each issue. although i don't -really- want to take it off-site, a website unto its own would give a lot more room for customization.) is this a good idea at all, or is it stupid and absurd and should i abandon it now?
yes, i also know this entire proposition contradicts what i say down there

v<disclaimer> not a 'zomg i'm leaving, pay attention to meeeee' stunt </disclaimer>i'm tired of drama, stupid people, immaturity, arguments, getting fed up with admins and members alike. i'm tired of the constant flow of sheer priggishness in this place. maybe i'll step back from the community for awhile and keep to the pages of people i get on with. maybe i won't. what i -will- do for sure is keep updating, both Mill City Fiasco and other things, and keep associating with people who make my day brighter. i don't know about the rest; all i'm sure of is that my face can't handle any more palming.
