THE TRUTH

so you know that guy !HalfGuyHalfAmazingVF i wrote a comic about the other day? turns out he is fake, just like i suspected. ~musiclifegirl found this page and figured out what he did. notice how familiar the second set of pictures are...

Nicholas Simpson is an 18-year-old kid from New York who goes by the name halfguyhalfamazing on a site called VampireFreaks. his photos seem to get stolen left and right by people pretending to be him (just Google it, you'll see), so he provided some 'salute' photos and videos where he holds up a piece of paper with the words 'halfguyhalfamazing at VF' to prove it's really him.

!HalfGuyHalfAmazingVF decided to try and be clever and steal this guy's photos, but add VF to the end of his name so he could appropriate the salute photos for his own use. most of the photos are gone from his gallery now, but i knew that would happen one way or another, so i screenshotted his gallery, stolen salute and all.

when ~musiclifegirl publicly confronted him on his profile, !HalfGuyHalfAmazingVF hid all the comments on his page and mysteriously vanished. his friend !Randazi claimed that he had been kidnapped, but i have a feeling they're the same person and it's a desperate excuse to get out of owning up to what he did.

oh yeah, and should i add that he doesn't seem to know what his own name is, just more evidence towards his false identity? he wrote in his first journal that his name was 'Jayde Romeao Cullen', but later changed it to 'Roameo' and accused me of getting his name wrong in my comic. i copy-pasted it directly from his journal, so unless my copy-paste function magically broke...

THE CONSEQUENCES

okay, so he stole some guy's photos. so what? well, inventing a false identity goes further than just art theft. he has lied and manipulated people into befriending someone that doesn't exist. he conned someone into buying him a dA subscription. i am almost positive that this was not just a joke that got out of hand when people inadvertently started swooning over his (stolen) photos. on the contrary, i have reason to believe it was a very deliberate act to manipulate people, knowing full well how he was toying with people's emotions and compassion by getting them to like him, then subsequently inventing stories about being beat up, fighting with his so-called friend !Randazi, and now getting kidnapped with the possibility of murder. i'll quote something he said to me while we were exchanging a series of notes:

you're such a little child, can't take the fact that in less then two months I might be more popular then you, just by posting myspace pose pictures.

Being emo pays off baby, you get the hot chicks and the hot guys (if ur bi that is), The people that stare and the endless crushes.

I doubt anybody has evr stared at you because of your beauty.

Can you honestly say someone has stared?

Do you honestly think people like you?

You HONESTLY think ur better then me?

huh bitch?!

i don't think he could have made it any more clear that he was doing this for the attention and popularity, and that he had no intention of reciprocating friendships or posting real art. (not to mention that his attempted retaliation against me is almost undoubtedly a mark of the breaking down of his facade - no one gets that defensive unless they're far more insecure than they let on.) as far as i can tell this doesn't break any of dA's rules, but in moral terms, his conscious manipulation of people is pretty damn low.
